Chilli Thrips are a pest causing significant harm to our beautiful roses, Dr. Darryl gives us some tips on this pesky insect.

• Thrips are small and hard to see, and attack buds before they emerge into flowers, the resulting blossom won’t be healthy
• Chilli Thrips are especially hard to notice, you won’t see them, you’ll only see the damage when it is too late.
• When it comes down to a Chilli Thrips problem it is imperative to spray at a very early growth stage and repeat spraying as much as you can to harden the rose tissue.
• Repeat spraying means the rose tissue can eventually become impervious to the Thrips.
