Last Chance to feed your garden

Early autumn is your last chance to feed your garden before winter slows plant growth—what you feed now will set the tone for a lush, resilient garden through the colder months.
- A fast-acting lawn food applied at around 50g per square metre helps thicken turf and avoid winter weeds. Always water it in by hand to avoid leaf burn and ensure nutrients reach the roots.
- Apply a controlled-release fertiliser like Troforte M, rich in minerals with 24 beneficial microbes. The increased soil moisture this time of year helps microbes activate and steadily feed both exotic and native plants.
- Cold temperatures slow plant metabolism, so fruit trees, vegies, and tropicals like bananas respond best to a liquid organic fertiliser that acts quickly and is easy to apply via hose-on.
- Apply liquid feeds over both foliage and soil to maximise nutrient uptake and boost productivity, plant resilience, and overall garden vitality.
- Feed this weekend for vibrant growth through winter—skip it, and you may see yellowing or tired plants as the cold sets in.
