Propagating Hint
Episode: # 9 02/06/07
Presenter: Trevor Cochrane
Have you ever heard of the horticultural term layering? It is a great way of propagating your own plants without a lot of gear required. It is very simple.
Choose a low growing branch of a woody shrub, strip some of the bark away and bury the branch underneath the soil. Hold it down with rocks or hooks and leave it to grow.
It may take two to four months for the roots to form along the stem but as soon as they do, just cut the branch off and you have a brand new plant.
