Plants with Bracts

Presenter: Neville Passmore
Episode: 20 (8 September 2007)

A bit of a horticultural oddity; plants with bracts, plants that have modified leaves with lots of colour so that they actually look like flowers.

The plants actually have tiny inconspicuous flowers, but the bracts make a great show.

The advantage in the garden is that they give you the colour for many months at a time. They also make terrific cut blooms or foliage in a vase for the dining room table inside.
