Presenter: Phil Dudman
For our garden centre of the week this week Phil visits Botanix Lifestyle Garden Centre. Botanix has taken out two of the state’s top honours at this year’s Nursery and Garden Industry Awards.
The first award was the Environmental Award in recognition of their commitment to safe environmental practices. The second award was for the Best Large Garden Centre in Queensland, which is a great credit to their range of services and their terrific team.
The nursery stocks an extensive range beautiful plants all handpicked by Kate Fitzgerald, their expert horticulturist. Kate has helped many customers solve their gardening challenges as well as make some very informed decisions about sustainable gardening.
Colin is another team member helping people to make important decisions. He’s the outdoor furniture specialist, and his aim is simple. He wants to help people find a setting that they will truly love. With the huge showroom of quality name furniture, he reckons he’s got something for everyone.
Botanix is much more than just a garden centre. When you visit, you’ll also discover the Wellington Point Art Gallery. It’s one of South East Queensland’s largest commercial galleries, housing a stunning display of contemporary paintings and sculptures from all over the country. Mick Zalesky is the gallery director and he has been helping lots of satisfied people to find the right art piece for their home, garden or office.
There’s a florist here as well and the lady in charge of the blooms is Tracy. She has a wonderful talent weather you are looking for ideas for a wedding or a special event. You might even want to grab something special for Christmas.
Talking of Christmas if you’re in need of some inspiration for gifts be sure to take a look around the Botanix Gift shop. The team has searched far and wide to put together a fine selection of high quality gift ideas, so you are sure to find something extra special.
There is s so much to see and enjoy here, and after you have had a good look around, it’s nice to know, you can always enjoy a relaxing meal or coffee in the beautiful surrounds of the Botanix café, serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week.
