One of the complaints many people have about turf grass is the fact you have to maintain it but new varieties are taking the demands to do this out of consideration. These days you can get a grass that looks terrific and provides all the environmental benefits to your home but at the same time it can have relatively low demand on water and maintenance.
- Empire Zoysia exhibits a unique combination of texture, proportion, colour and functionality that provides the ideal foundation to make any garden look like a work of art.
- It adapts to a wide range of soil types and requires less water than most other grasses, even in sandy soils.
- Its massive root system runs deep and sustains the grass through periods of drought, heavy use and harsh conditions while providing rapid injury recovery.
- Beautiful soft medium size leaf.
- When established it is very water wise.
- Is a slow growing variety and therefore requires less mowing-can use a rotary mower.
- Low fertiliser requirement-only twice a year. April just before winter-again in Spring around October.
- Does not invade gardens unlike couch and kikuyu – performs well in sunny hot areas.
- Good salt tolerance – around pools or coastal garden.
- With any lawn – use a premium wetting agent twice a year.
