Indoor Plants

Episode: 3
Title: Indoor Plants
Broadcast: 2 April 2016
Presenter: Melissa King

Research shows that indoor plants not only make you feel better, but also help ‘clean’ the air inside your home. In this segment, Melissa shows us how to take care of indoor plants, whether they need re-potting, or just a kick to help them to keep going.

  • Start by removing any dead or damaged leaves on the indoor plant, get rid of old potting mix and if you need to, trim off any dead or damaged roots.
  • If the plant was looking a bit tight in the original pot, pot it up into something larger and use a good quality potting mix.
  • Water the plant with a good dose of Seasol to help the plant establish a good strong, healthy root system and ease it into it’s new home. It’s a certified organic seaweed plant tonic that can be used on all plants – indoor and out.
  • Keep applying Seasol every fortnight to promote healthy vigorous growth and increase plant tolerance to stresses like drought and insect and fungal attack.
  • For indoor plants you can use a no-fuss foliar spray, but make sure to keep it away from walls, carpet and furniture. This formula combines Seasol seaweed solution with a specially formulated nutrient mix and trace elements, plus organic chelators for fast foliage uptake. It promotes strong, healthy growth and reduces the stresses of indoor living.
