Title: Drift planting: Cranbourne Gardens
Broadcast: October 22nd
Presenter: Melissa King
There are some Australian plants that are just so iconic and there’s no better place to see very best natives than at Cranbourne Gardens in Melbourne. Mel shows us her favourites.
- Drift technique is where one plants in multiples of three – five (and up) of a particular species.
- It doesn’t rely on plants being in flower however, flowering shrubs can be used in addition to plants with smaller foliage.
- Sticky wattle looks great with 10-12 having been used in the Cranbourne garden to create a mountain drift.
