If you’re looking for a unique and unusual plant to put in your garden, then you should consider the choko.
- Choko vines live in a symbiotic relationship with grape vines. The grape grows in the spring and produces fruit in the summer, then the choko takes off in Autumn.
- Chokos are from the South Pacific and South America.
- While they are actually a fruit, they are most commonly used as a vegetable.
- The longer you leave chokos on the vine, the more likely you are to have a new plant.
- The fruit will develop a shoot, which emerges from the embryo of the seed in the middle of it.
- If you plant it in some soil to about two thirds of the length of the fruit, a vine will grow.
