If you’re looking for a unique and unusual plant to put in your garden, then you should consider the choko.

• Choko vines live in a symbiotic relationship with grape vines. The grape grows in the spring and produces fruit in the summer, then the choko takes off in Autumn.
• Chokos are from the South Pacific and South America.
• While they are actually a fruit, they are most commonly used as a vegetable.
• The longer you leave chokos on the vine, the more likely you are to have a new plant.
• The fruit will develop a shoot, which emerges from the embryo of the seed in the middle of it.
• If you plant it in some soil to about two thirds of the length of the fruit, a vine will grow.
