The Garden Gurus help the Breast Cancer Research Centre of WA decorate their headquarters with beautiful indoor plants.
- The Breast Cancer Research Centre of WA is one of the busiest breast cancer trial units in Australia.
- They give patients access to treatments that others sometimes won’t get access to for 5-7 years.
- Indoor plants have proven to have a beneficial impact on our psyche.
- The Breast Cancer Research Centre wanted to create a calming and comforting atmosphere to help minimise the stress associated with diagnosis.
- With help from Benara Nursery, The Garden Gurus provided the Breast Cancer Research Centre with a number of indoor plants to help them achieve this.
- Ficus are great indoors but outdoors they turn into giant trees.
- The Norfolk and Lord Howe islands have some beautiful palms like the Kentia, which is a worldwide hit because it does so well in low light conditions.
- Dracena Colorama is another great plant with striking colours that can brighten up any space and also people’s moods.
