• Maintaining even soil moisture is the key behind a consistently green lawn.
• Consistently checking your sprinklers visually every week is very important to maintain a luscious green grass.
• Clean the nozzles and filters regularly and make sure the pop-up section is well lubricated.
• It only takes one grain of sand to be stuck in the nozzle and sections of the grass will start to feel the pinch.
• Catching the early signs of moisture stress will save you a lot of heartache so keep an eye out and a little top up with the hose will buy you some time.
• Doing a simple catch cup test will also provide important information on how long to set your irrigation run times.
• The rule of thumb for most grass varieties is to replace 70% of the cumulative daily evaporation rate over your watering days each week.
