• Proteas- Suitable for cut flowers, members of the Protea family are equally at home in a well drained soil in garden beds, or on display in pots and containers.
• Ensure an Australian native potting mix and fertiliser is used if growing in pots, and select a pot with adequate drainage holes as these plants do not like to be waterlogged.
• Plants in this family are very low maintenance, light frost and drought tolerant once established. Proteas are suitable for a variety of soil types but they must be in a well drained soil. Prefers a full sun to part shade position.
• Leucadendron- A beautiful foliage plant that makes wonderful cut flowers, Leucadendron are equally at home in garden beds or on display in pots and containers.
