- Instructions for Use of Product:
- Sow in early autumn to allow development of a deep root system prior to first summer. Sowing in spring is also a suitable time, through more watering may be required throughout the first summer.
- In a large wheelbarrow, mix your choice of lawn seed with Munns Professional Buffalo & All Lawns Starter Fertiliser ensuring the coverage area matches the recommended rate of the pack e.g. 1kg covers 10m2.
- Start by raking the soil in straight lines from end to end,- creating shallow furrows. Using a sweeping arc motion, spread evenly at the recommended rate, spreading half the amount required walking in a north-south direction and the remainder in an east-west direction, Lightly rake the soil in the opposite direction to the furrows to cover the seeds.
- Throughout the germination period – lasting from around one week to a month depending on seed variety – the top 1cm of the soil should be kept moist at all times with a fine spray of the garden hose. This may mean watering 5-8 times a day in drier areas.
- If you have a kikuyu lawn, then oversow any bare patches with Munns Professional Pure Kikuyu and if you have a couch lawn, oversow with Munns Professional Couch Blend.
- If you have a lawn that grows up right, like rye and fescue lawns, then oversow with Munns Professional Sun & Shade or Munns Professional Quick Fix.
- Start by raking the soil in straight lines from end to end - creating shallow furrows. In a large wheelbarrow, mix your choice of lawn seed with Munns Professional Buffalo & All Lawns Starter Fertiliser.
- Munns Professional Buffalo & All Lawns Starter Fertiliser has more than 7 essential nutrients and trace elements. Due to the rich organic ingredients and natural soil conditioner in the formulation, it promotes deeper roots, the backbone of any healthy lawn. It absorbs more water for early growth, while the organic ingredients and phosphorus also help to promote strong root development.
- The seeds have a premium slow release 3 months fertiliser to help establish the grass long term. Munns Pro Seed achieves improved germination and root development through the inclusion of a professional-grade wetting agent. The seeds also have a multi-purpose coating, to boost germination and deter birds, while also allowing you to see where you’ve sown seeds.
- For Buffalo lawns it is best not to contaminate the lawn with other lawn seed, for this we recommend teasing the soil to loosen (add soil if it is not healthy), add some Munns Professional Buffalo and All Lawns starter fertiliser to the soil and the area surrounding the patch and rake through.
