- The Garden Gurus annually sponsor the Australian Horticultural Trials week event, hosted at Fleming’s Nurseries, to thoroughly showcase new plant varieties of trees and shrubs.
- Last year, Flemings introduced the Cercis Canadensis “Merlot” to the Australian market, identifying not only how impactful and how significant plant the cercis has been in the past, but will continue to be in the future.
- The “Enchanted Forest” collection of cercis are perfect small-to-medium trees, offering a wide selection of sizes from multi-stem, to traditional single trunk trees, as well as weepers.
- The cercis tree features bold characteristics, with heart-shaped foliage and a range of differing colours such as purples, greens and golds.
- The alluring beauty of these cercis is not just down to the leaves, they also have striking flowers that pop as they emerge from down against the bare branches.
- The cercis cultivars are relatively short with wide trees, so smaller in size to their sisters, which makes them versatile and easy to enjoy in a range of urban spaces.
- The cercis “merlot” grows stunning large, purple, glossy, heart-shaped foilage and a pink spring blossom – captivating for any audience.
