Trevor shares with you some of his favourite trees in the garden.

  • Trees are not just beautiful additions to a landscape—they’re long-term investments that add value, structure, and character to any garden.
  • Here are some of Trevor's favourites: Golden Robinia is a stunning tree known for its bright golden foliage. In spring, it produces wisteria-like flowers that enhance its beauty and seasonal appeal.
  • Japanese Maples (Acer palmatum dissectum) that have graceful, weeping or cascading forms with vibrant foliage that changes through the seasons. As they mature, their branches weep further, creating a soft, elegant canopy.
  • Other Japanese Maples have smaller to medium-sized varieties that come in a diverse range of foliage colours, offering flexibility in design and year-round visual interest.
  • Lastly is Sakura or Cherry Blossoms which is famous for their stunning spring display. The single variety mirrors Japan’s iconic blossoms, while the double variety is equally breathtaking and adds romantic charm to any garden.
