Mel visits the breathtaking and inspiring Alowyn Gardens.
- Work had first started on the Alowyn Gardens in 1997 with the clearing and cleaning up of weed and blackberry infested paddocks.
- The Alowyn Gardens feature a variety of unique gardens, this includes; the Parterre Garden, Forest Garden, Perennial Border, Edible Garden, Display Garden, Dry Garden, Wisteria Archway and the French Style Garden.
- Since the starting of the gardens, there has been a strong emphasis on recycling, including materials like organic matter and water.
- Alowyn Gardens is open seven days per week from 10:00am – 5:00pm, admission is $10.00 for adults, $8.50 with concessions and free of charge for 16 years and under. Group bookings and yearly passes can be found in the links below.
