Take a tour of the Adelaide Central Markets with Kim as he finds out how to tell when fruit is ripe enough to pick and eat.
Rockmelon- ready when the fruit smells like rockmelon, has a lovely netting and nice colour.
Watermelons- give it a good tap and if it sounds dull and hollow it is ready.
Pumpkin- when the end of the pumpkin is withered it is ready.
Apples and pears- are ripe when the seeds inside are brown.
Eggplant- is ripe when the eggplant is a dark black colour.
Cucumbers- depends on how you like it. Younger cucumbers are crisper while older ones are juicier.
