There are eight to ten weeks left for your roses to keep flowering, make sure you maximize this time and get them ready for a bumper season next year with the help of Kim Syrus.

Flowering On.

• Dead-heading, or trimming off the dead roses on your rose bush will encourage more growth next year by reducing the amount of energy wasted on the top-most bud of the dead stem. This will bring on a new flush of roses.
• Try and cut as high as possible when dead-heading your roses; the buds at the top of the stem are far more active
• When you decide to bring some cut flowers inside, make sure you leave some buds down below to keep your plant flowering on.
• If you have a special event coming uo and want your roses to look their best, eight weeks prior, trim down about half your rose bush, wait a week and finish off the rest.
• It’s also time to give your roses the last feed for the season; so make sure you use a great fertilizer to get them through!
