If you’re planning a new project in your garden, the team shows you some fantastic new plant varieties that will create a characterized garden without putting stress on your water bill. With new technology being developed in the horticulture industry, plants are excelling in the variety of colours, foliage, shape and growing requirements
Featured Plant- ‘Golf Ball’ (Pittosporum tenuifolium)

  • Originating from New Zealand this plant has only been on the market for a very short period
  • This pittosporum evergreen, is mint green in foliage with a dense, multi-stemmed, compact shape
  • Left untrimmed can grow 1 meter tall to 1 meter wide in a perfect cylindrical shape
  • Thrives in full sun or light shade, requires little to no trimming, it is a vigorous grower and can withstand heavy rains and strong winds, requires little water once established

Featured Plant- ‘Cabernett’ (Cordyline australis)

  • This unusually coloured plant is named after cabernet wine
  • Great as an architectural plant, the long sword shaped leaves are a deep maroon colour and grows to 2 meters high and 1.5 meters wide
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade, in well drained soil, just tear at the dead leaves as they appear rather then cut, it is extremely drought tolerant and moderately frost tolerant, requires little water once established
