Persimmon Plugs
- In Japan it's called the kaki fruit and known as the Persimmon in Australia
- The astringent variety is the soft form that leaves a fury sensation in your mouth
- The non astringent form is eaten as soon as the fruit colours up and is crunchy and sweet like an apple
- The tree is deciduous and grows 6 - 8 metres tall with a similar spread and doesn't require extreme cold to colour up and provide autumn foliage
- The ichikikijiro is the dwarf form ideal for smaller areas and requires full sun and regular feeding
