Nothing sets off a front yard like a nice green lawn but to keep this turf looking its best you need to give it some special attention.

A good deep soak once, or twice a week, will encourage grass roots to follow the moisture down, and help to ?drought proof? the lawn. Avoid short daily watering as these will only keep roots near the surface and, on those very hot days, will dry them out and cause real damage to the turf.

Keeping your lawn free from weeds and well fed is very important. Lush Extra Strength Weed ?n? Feed Hose-On will both fertilize and kill off a huge range of problem weeds and it is so easy to use.

Click the hose on to the container. Turn on the hose and then press the trigger. Start at one end of the lawn and work your way through. Apply at a gentle speed making sure you cover all parts evenly. There is enough concentrate in one of the bottles to cover 180 square metres. It also contains a soil wetter to help soften the ground and retain valuable moisture.

Just be careful when spraying on buffalo and other broadleaf grasses, as well as your other garden plants. If in doubt, check the label.

Starting the lawnmower is something many of us do every weekend. However, simply giving the pull cord a quick rip can also be one sure way of really hurting your back. Here is a much better and safe way to get the old victa purring.

With one hand, take a hold of the mower handle and with the other, grab the pull cord. Now while you are pulling the cord, push the mower away from you. The cord still comes out, but you avoid straining your back. Pushing down a slight slope may also help if you find it too difficult on level ground.

If your lawn is looking in need of a feed and you just love throwing the fertilizer around then Lush Lawn Master is just right for you.

Spread the premium slow release lawn food evenly. Nutrients will be released over an amazing 3 months. There is even a soil wetter included, which helps hold all the balanced nutrients around the roots, making it easy for your lawn to feed.
