Day 8 Friday

Today began with breakfast in the hotel, and then it was time to hit Kuala Lumpur for some serious garden exploring.

First Mel and the crew visited Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens:

Sprawling 91.6 hectares the tropical gardens are a pleasant oasis within the city providing a cool and soothing ambience as you walk through a vista of exotic blooms, luxuriant foliage, imposing sculptures, creative theme parks and majestic – looking rain-trees.

Then it was off to the Orchid Garden that is just spectacular! There are over 800 varieties of Orchids that include exotic species. They all thrive on the climate it is like a floral paradise!

The Queen of tropical flowers garden was next. The Hibiscus Garden. Now this place is a must see. Not only is the Hibiscus the National Flower of Malaysia, it is absolutely stunning, and where better to see the 500 different varieties than in its home country!
