Seoul Grand Park


Situated next to Seoul Land, Korea’s first theme park surround Mt Cheonggyesan, is Grand Seoul Park. It shares it’s ground with the Grand Park zoo which was opened in 1984 and is one of Asia’s largest zoo sitting on 192,000 m2 of land.

The botanical garden is the second largest in Asia, with a greenhouse measuring 25 meters high and 2,825m2 wide. It keeps over 1,300 kinds of various plants and the Garden consists of 4 halls including a hall for tropical and subtropical plants; flesh eating plants; chain – fern hall; and an east orchid hall.

The rose garden was created around the lake of Seoul Grand Park with more than 200 species of roses and 20,700 plants. It is considered the best rose garden in Korea, and is definitely worth the visit for those who consider themselves fans of this timeless flower.
