Panting Herbs and Vegies in Winter

You don’t have to wait for spring to get your plants to grow. Winter has enriched the soil nourished it and is helping things to grow. There is a huge range of Herbs and Veggies that you could be growing right now. Herbs of all shapes sizes flavours and colours can be planted right now quite a lot of herbs are perennials which means that they will be repeat growers and you will get a repeat crop of several of years. Come spring your plants will be full and lush with flowers ready for picking.
When selecting plants for your garden naturally start with the things that you love. Try creating a repeat harvest crops that last right though winter right into spring. Start with some little punnets something like the Garlic Chives, but also some advanced herbs, like Italian Parsley for instant cropping.
If you don’t have a big garden don’t worry you can have a herb garden on your balcony or patio. You can have a potted herb garden, with a number of herbs in the one container, such as Parsley, Chives, Rocket, Raddicio. And there you have a salad in a bowl.
All of the Allium or Onion family is perfect for your winter crop, so get planting loads of Garlic, Shallots, Onion, Leaks and Chives. Other winter crops available are Snow Peas, Broccoli, Rocket, Cauliflower, Artichoke, Lettuce, Puck Choi, Wom Boc, Celery and Swiss Char to name a few.
