Garden Features

  • The garden has incorporated a blend of local indigenous plants and natives, with beauty attributes originating from other places in Australia.
  • This has reduced the amount of water needed to sustain the garden.
  • The native plants also bring native birds to the garden, adding atmosphere.
  • The garden has been divided so that there could be one area of native Australian plants, orchard and water living plants in another area.
  • Reticulation is used for those plants that need it, but no reticulation is needed for the native plants.
  • Once established, the native plants look after themselves.
  • Plants need to be planted in the correct place and be given special native fertiliser in order to then flourish by themselves.
