Trevor shows what to plant now for a productive vegetable patch and how best to look after your vegetables.

• Members of the crucifer family contain a rich plant hormone which acts as a powerful antioxidant in the stomach, dramatically reducing the instances of stomach cancers.
• Crucifers include broccoli, cabbages, kale, cauliflower and asian greens and they are best planted out in now.
• Getting the best results in edible gardens gets down to three things. Starting with a good soil, planting the right plants in season and sustaining them with a good growth stimulating tonic.
