- Members of the crucifer family contain a rich plant hormone which acts as a powerful antioxidant in the stomach, dramatically reducing the instances of stomach cancers.
- Crucifers include broccoli, cabbages, kale, cauliflower and asian greens and they are best planted out in now.
- Getting the best results in edible gardens gets down to three things. Starting with a good soil, planting the right plants in season and sustaining them with a good growth stimulating tonic. If you use seaweed it's known to stimulate microbe activity in the soil making it healthy. The roots are also healthier and the plant handles temperature extremes far better.
