Learn how to add something a little different to your garden by spicing it up with a selection of exotic fruits available from your local garden centre.

 

Trevor's Tips and Facts

  • For a touch of Bali, plant Hawaiian guavas, they make the most delicious drink you've ever had and Guava grow really well in Perth.
  • Another terrific fruit to look at adding to your garden is the mango. There are a few varieties you should look out for. If you buy them advanced you'll see fruit forming in December and by April or May you will pick your first succulent fruit.
  • If you want to add a super fruit to your diet and reduce your grocery bill dramatically then start off with a super advanced Avocado. Avocados are beautiful evergreen trees and whilst each fruit averages at $2.50 each the fact a tree like this will produce over 100 fruit in three years the payback on your investment is very quick.
  • Perth is a great place to grow fruit, plant them in a rich organic soil and make sure they have a good water supply and the results will amaze you.
