Linda teaches us about Aloe and how best to grow it beginning from a little cutting all the way to a full grown Aloe.
- There are over 500 species of the genus Aloe, they can withstand droughts, floods, the freezing cold and the heat, having been native to Africa, they are also very happy in our climate.
- Aloes come in a range of sizes from 20cm to over 3m in height! They do their best when grown in full sunlight.
- They are also super easy to propagate, just cut or pinch off a shoot from the base.
- Allow the cutting to heal for a week or two before planting one shoot per pot into good quality Seasol Advanced potting mix!
- Careful not to pack the soil too tight and allow the roots to dry out for a few weeks.
- Water your aloe shoot and make sure to use PowerFeed All Purpose so that your Aloes sing and will be very happy!
