• What started at the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority in 2007 was a journey to breed for disease tolerance.
• From that a lot of complex parents came about, creating an array of novel colours.
• With almost every colour of the rainbow now being grown, Digby still recalls being gobsmacked seeing the blue for the first time.
