- It has spread into production and urban areas around Australia and reached WA about 10 years ago.
- The bad news is that the Gall wasp is largely impervious to chemical treatments available to the home gardener.
- The good news is that adults are short lived, and it is not a very mobile species. It can be controlled by pruning.
- Start by removing all galls over the winter period each year.
- An essential is good hygiene to control this pest, to do this make sure to dispose of all infested pruning to landfill.
