Episode: 2
Presenter: Trevor Cochrane
Air Date: 11th December 2022

Trevor, along with the help of Deep Green Landscapes and Benera Nursery support a very special charity; The Pirate Ship Foundation that helps children impacted by brain cancer.

  • Every year the WA Governor would invite the community to a fund-raising cricket match held in the gardens of Government house. This event was designed to support the Pirate Ship foundation, an organisation formed by parents of children impacted by brain cancer and brain tumours in support of research to improve outcomes for children impacted by this hideous illness that kills more children than anything else.
  • The Pirate Ship Foundation is a bold and passionate community that funds vital research into childhood brain cancer through a range of initiatives, adventures, events and partnerships.
  • Trevor Cochrane and the team at Benera Nursery and Deep Green Landscapes have partnered up to support this cause with a donation of plants and services valued over $20,000 to help raise funds.
  • The winning bidder has had this amazing garden built by Julian Rose and his talented team from Deep Green Landscapes.
  • Benara Nurseries, originally established in 1963, has grown over the years to become the leading destination of trade and wholesale plant supply for garden retailers, revegetation projects and the wider landscaping industry throughout Australia.
  • Deep Green is a multi-award-winning company having delivered some incredible projects over the years including the amazing landscape surrounding Optus Stadium which consistently wins best stadium in the world.
  • We’ve had a lot of companies come together to help make this garden possible and would like to thank Benera Nurseries, Ellenby Tree Farm, Eclipse Soils, Cwise, All West Turf, Strata Green, Urbanstone, Toni and Sons and New Ground.
