Propogating Rosemary
Story: Propogating Rosemary
Episode: 9
Presenter: Darren Seinor
Air Date: 27th April 2024
Darren shows us just how easy it is to propagate your own rosemary at home.
- Autumn is the best time to prune and trim your garden at home.
- Rosemary trimmings can be thrown either back into the garden or into your compost bin.
- Alternatively, strip the foliage off your trimmings, dip them into striking hormone, and bury them into some propagation mix.
- Make sure to use a free-draining, open propagation mix.
- The soil will need to be kept moist whilst the trimming is setting roots.
- After 6-10 weeks, your trimmings will be ready for potting up.
