Holly explores how Plant with Willow can revolutionise your indoor plant care and save millions of houseplants from untimely demise!

  • Each year, an average of 72 million houseplants are lost by Australians, highlighting the challenges many face in caring for indoor plants. This loss often stems from factors such as overwatering, underwatering, improper light exposure, and varying plant preferences for temperature and humidity.
  • Plant with Willow aims to take the guesswork out of indoor plant care. By integrating user-friendly technology with stylish design, the primary product, the sensor, provides a straightforward solution to help save plants from untimely deaths.
  • The beautifully crafted sensor continuously monitors essential factors such as soil moisture, ambient light, room temperature, and humidity tailored to each plant's specific needs. When a plant requires attention, an alert is sent directly to the user’s phone through the Willow app, ensuring timely care.
  • Founded in 2020 by Jared Carlin and James Shamim, Willow spent three years developing the Sensor in Australia. The team collaborated closely with in-house horticulturist Brocc Rogers, who contributed extensive plant knowledge and assisted in creating a robust plant database featuring over 600 plant types, making it easier for users to identify and care for their greenery.
  • Since launching in November 2023, Willow has successfully shipped its products to 28 countries worldwide. The brand has also recently made its debut online with Bunnings Warehouse, expanding its availability for plant enthusiasts across Australia.
  • The Sensor operates in conjunction with the hub, meaning both devices are required for optimal performance. This pairing ensures that users receive accurate and timely notifications, helping them keep their plants healthy and thriving.
  • One of the most prevalent ways people neglect their houseplants is by failing to monitor their specific care requirements. Plant with Willow addresses this issue by providing personalised, real-time updates, empowering users to give their plants the best possible care and attention.
