- Solahart is Australia's leading solar manufacturer. For 60 years they've manufactured and supplied over one million solar hot water systems in Australia and overseas
- Each unit is designed to maximize the draw of the suns energy, heating the water, which is circulated through to the storage tank.
- There are two main options when choosing the right hot water system. The roof mounted tank and collectors, often referred to as a Themosiphon system or the split system where the tank is location in a convenient position on the ground, connected to collectors positioned on the roof
- On cloudy days the solar water heaters are backed up by gas or electric boosters, to ensure you don't run out of hot water.
- A basic solar hot water system costs around $5,000 to purchase and install. There is still government incentive available, which works out to around $1,000 off the price of a Solar Water Heater and is usually given as a point of sale discount to reduce the upfront cost.
- As well as freeing you from the worry of rising energy costs, installing a solar hot water system will also free the environment of tonnes of carbon every year
