Title: Cutting the Garden Back for Winter
Broadcast: March 30, 2019
Presenter: Trevor Cochrane

Now is the perfect time to get a start on your garden pruning, whether it be fruit trees, hedges or roses. Growth slows down in winter, so by cutting back now you are giving the garden its best chance to really bounce back come spring.

  • Before setting out with the annual prune, it’s important that all blades are sharpened and clear of any grime and residue, as not only could you ruin a good pair of secateurs, but it could also aid in spreading disease.
  • The Cyclone Heavy Duty Bypass Pruner will tackle all small pruning jobs with ease. They are ergonomically designed by Australians for our conditions.
  • The blades are SK5 high carbon steel and PTFE coated – meaning they are non-stick and easy to clean.
  • For jobs that require more force, like larger branches or harder to reach places, there’s the Cyclone Professional Telescopic Ratchet Bypass Lopper.
  • The blades are also PTFE coated and drop forged for superior strength and durability.
  • The anti-friction pivot bearing action delivers five times the cutting power, which reduces user fatigue, so you can get the job done all in one day.
  • The Loppers have a cutting capacity of 45mm, comfortably pruning medium sized shrub branches.
  • The large comfort grips allow superior handling and control. The handles are strong, lightweight tri-oval aluminium and their telescopic mechanism makes them extendable from 70-96cm.
  • Cyclone Heavy Duty Straight Hedge Shears are perfect for precise cutting, bringing your hedges back into shape.
  • It has anti-friction pivot bearing and comfortable grips that are contoured to the palm of your hand.
  • The blades are non-stick, easy to clean PTFE coated.
